John's Corner
It has been said, 'time heals all wounds.' I do not agree. The wounds remain. In time, the mind, protecting its sanity, covers them with scar tissue and the pain lessens. But it is never gone. -Rose Kennedy

"Ghosts of days gone by" - Alter Bridge
"Ghost Of Days Gone By"
The misery I know
Like a friend that won't let go
Is creeping up on me now once again
So I sing this song tonight
To the ghost that will not die
And somehow it seems to haunt me till the end
Do you feel the same
For what was remained
Yesterday is gone, we can't go back again
Do you ever cry for the Ghost of Days Gone By
I remember summer days
We were young and unafraid
With innocence we'd glide beneath the stars
It seems so long ago
Beyond the life that I now know
Before the years would have their way and break my heart
Do you feel the same
For what was remained
Yesterday is gone, we can't go back again
Do you ever cry for the Ghost of Days Gone By
And I know it's drawing closer
With each day I feel the end
I... don't wanna die
Don't wanna die, don't wanna die
I don't wanna die
Do you feel the same
For what was remained
Yesterday is gone, we can't go back again
Do you ever cry for the days gone by
Do they haunt you like a ghost until the end
Haunt you till the end, until the end
Until the end, until the end
The misery I know
Like a friend that won't let go
Is creeping up on me now once again
So I sing this song tonight
To the ghost that will not die
And somehow it seems to haunt me till the end
Do you feel the same
For what was remained
Yesterday is gone, we can't go back again
Do you ever cry for the Ghost of Days Gone By
I remember summer days
We were young and unafraid
With innocence we'd glide beneath the stars
It seems so long ago
Beyond the life that I now know
Before the years would have their way and break my heart
Do you feel the same
For what was remained
Yesterday is gone, we can't go back again
Do you ever cry for the Ghost of Days Gone By
And I know it's drawing closer
With each day I feel the end
I... don't wanna die
Don't wanna die, don't wanna die
I don't wanna die
Do you feel the same
For what was remained
Yesterday is gone, we can't go back again
Do you ever cry for the days gone by
Do they haunt you like a ghost until the end
Haunt you till the end, until the end
Until the end, until the end

NYC Trip - October
I recently revisited NYC with my cousin, Steven North and his friend Adam Lewis from Middlesboro, KY.
I had a great time. The weather was nice. I got to see an ole friend that I haven't seen in years, Isaac Parker.
It was great seeing you, Isaac! I know you suggested that I move to NYC. I truly don't know if I could survive.

The way things work out sometimes.
My ex and I live 15.8 miles apart. He has his own Lowes, Bob Evans and Super Wal-mart, and I have my own. Well, I'll soon have a Super Wal-Mart near me. But with the short distance apart we do not have to see one another often. I know it wouldn't bother him. However, it would truly bother me. I'm glad that he is happy, but I don't need it in my face each day. Knowing that he is much happier without me. Even after 3.75 years, it still hurts!

Lyrics from a favorite song.
"What you gonna do when the whiskey ain't workin' no more
Life don't feel like before
What you gonna do!?"
Life don't feel like before
What you gonna do!?"
